Please Note:

  • Due Date is July 31
  • Late payments 1.5% interest and penalty back to February (ex. Feb-Aug 10.5%)
  • USPS postmark is accepted

Before contacting the Dane County Treasurer's Office with a plat, please obtain all signatures EXCEPT Dane County Treasurer and Register of Deeds.

STEP 2: County Treasurer will contact you...
  • Inform you of any unpaid taxes (if applicable)
  • Provide you with the Planning Review Charge amount (if applicable)
  • Schedule an appointment with you for the County Treasurer signing & Register of Deeds recording (M-F, 8-12)
STEP 3
STEP 3: Bring items to the appointment...
  1. Unpaid taxes payment (if applicable)
  2. Planning Review check made payable to "Dane County Treasurer" (if applicable)
  3. Recording fee check made payable to "Dane County Register of Deeds"
  4. Plat needing Dane County Treasurer & Register of Deeds signatures
